Ask Erin

Passionate about providing students with a high quality music instruction, Erin strives to enhance students’ musical learning by making music fun and accessible. As an outspoken advocate for arts education, especially music in schools, Erin excitedly seeks out varied musical opportunities for students for the essential growth and development of their life-long love of music. Erin taught choral/general music in the New Jersey public schools for 15 years, and is proud to use her expertise to promote the educational benefits of the AYV experience, work with participating teachers, and share in this life-changing experience for all.

Erin earned her Bachelor of Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and her Master of Music from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Erin is an avid choral artist throughout the NYC metro area, and finds her experience and practice of music greatly enhances her teaching for the benefit of students and work with AYV.

Erin is thrilled to be part of the American Young Voices team, and is eager to be a guide for teachers throughout the American Young Voices process.
